nah,everyone deserves to Rest In Peace no matter what they did.
It's a shame, it really is.
Not only the deaths of 3 people, but the fact that die hard fans can't seem to keep a grip on the fantastic career and legacy that Benoit has left us with.
As I've said in other threads, I won't try and condone in any way murder or suicide, but by looking past what he has done for you and the industry, it really is dissappointing.
^ I agree with mr perfect you can condem him for what he did but his WRESTLING career will never be tarnished and even though he murdured 2 people he should still RIP
Saying remember what he has done for the industry is complete BS. Sorry to take this off track, but he killed 2 people, one who was 7. If your depressed kill yourself, dont take 2 innocent people with you like a coward. What he has done for wrestling no longer matters. Every evil person in the history of the world has done something good and has not been remembered for it, why should anyone remember what Benoit did for a fake business? Why not remember Hitler for building Germanys economy, providing thousands of Germans with food, shelter and jobs. There is no double standard about it, Benoit created one hell of a legacy and do a lot for wrestling, but when he bound his wife and killed her plus his seven year old son, he threw it all away.

I agree with Pope...for the second time in my "PWS career". Why is it RIP Benoit, his victims names should be there instead. Even during the WWE tribute, they said maybe 4 things about his family and everything they said made Benoit look good.
pfft, I guess not only was he a "great" wrestler, but he was a great murdered too. Chris Benoit, multi talented![]()
Once again neXus, that tribute was done prior to all the evidence being known, thus explained on ECW by Vince.
I'm really suprised, I mean once again not defending murder in any way.
But die hard wrestling fans who are turning their backs on his career, it's strange, seems people think they know someone just cos they watch them on tv every week.

RIP Benoit, Dahmer, Bundy, and Gacy you will all be missed.
i don't get it
people treat the man like a god throughout his career but because he killed 2 people (im not saying thats good) he gets disrespected by people saying he should not be allowed to Rest In Peace
LionDen can change the heading of this section. You dont have to know Benoit to know that no matter what state of mind you are in, killing two people is wrong. Anyone with common sense knows this regardless of how well he did his job. I dont blame anyone for turning their back on him, he is a child killer. And its pretty pathetic tieing up your wife so that she cant fight back while you kill her.
Wrestling comes second to taking away human life. The same person who won countless titles and helped people break into the wrestling business, is the same person who went home and killed his own family. He watched them die.
Chris and his family will be resting in peace; in heaven. Separating the man from his behaviour is difficult at times, but is the only way really to understand and accept this situation.
Many will never be able to understand nor accept the following words that I will write, but there are those of you who will;
For what it is worth: Death does not exist, so what we are talking about here is a change of life form. There is no crime in that, and so there is no punishment. People who end thier physical life do so in most cases to end some pain they no longer wish to experience. If it is emotional pain, as opposed to physical discomfort, they wish to end, they will find that they have left nothing behind. They will still be dealing with it after they leave the body. But they will have wonderful help and guidance in moving through it, so they will not be alone. Chris, Nancy and Daniel(regardless of how they died physically) are perfectly ok and very loved where they are. Every action we make will always be based out of love and fear.
Now;
What Chris alongside Eddie and others of that generation; did for the industry will forever be remembered and appreciated! We have a tendency to place these modern day 'superheroes' on some sort of grand pedestal. In the end they might be these superheroes on tv but behind every character lyes a man with the same feelings, emotions, senses that we all have; a human being.

man, like i said in another thread, were all wrestling marks, but fuck wrestling. how many german suplexes does a man have to do in his life to become an excused child murderer? does this exted to micheal jordan, nolan ryan, bill gates and everyone else who did great things in their industry? they get a "kill your family for free" pass?
i dont give a fuck if your a bum on the street, a war hero or a head of state. to murder a young child, your own son takes an unmitigated piece of human shit.
i watched beniot since i was a littyle kid and he was in stampede wrestling. i know exactly what he done as one of the great performers ever. and he undid it all in the ultimate act of cowardice. i mean jesus fuck, looks lke some kids would have been more angry if he jumped to tna rather than asphixiating his wife and son.
if you can look past murdering a 7 year old boy to "what he's done to for the industry" then your sense of reality is fucking warped. end of story.

We really don't know the whole story, circumstances. We can be quite sure he's the one who done it, but we don't know WHY. *Nothing* can excuse Benoit of murdering his family. We can only speculate right now as to why he did it, BUT as for him resting in peace I don't think that's our decision. That would be god's decision, or the afterlife...Whatever it is you all believe in.
I know everyone judges people (including me), but we shouldn't. Again, nobody knows all the circumstances for one. Apparently he wasn't in the right state of mind for some reason. Drugs can do a lot of things. God created your body to work as it should, young and strong, old and weak, ultimately you die. There's food on this earth to eat, and provide your body with everything you need....YET, we have drugs that are man made. Drugs that have many side effects, and there's no telling who will get what reaction off of. Plenty of people on drugs kill others, themselves, etc.
It's not that these people are weak either. If anything there a lot weaker for needing the drug to begin with (at least in the case of steroids).
